Summary. Profitrace does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information. Everything the extension reads stays inside your own browser.

What the extension accesses

When you click the extension's icon and press Scan or Analyse, it reads the product information already displayed on the Amazon.in, Flipkart, or Meesho page you are viewing — product titles, prices, ratings, review counts, and product links.

When you press Find Supplier, the extension opens an IndiaMart search in a background tab and reads the wholesale prices shown on that results page. The tab closes automatically once the prices have been read.

What is stored

Products you explicitly choose to save are stored using Chrome's local storage on your own device. This data:

never leaves your computer;
is not sent to us or to any third party;
is not used for advertising or analytics;
can be deleted at any time with the Clear All button on the Saved tab, or by removing the extension.

What is not collected

No personal or contact information
No account credentials
No browsing or search history
No location, health, or financial information
No analytics, telemetry, or tracking of any kind

Network activity

The extension makes no requests to any server operated by us. It has no backend. The only page it opens is the IndiaMart search results page described above, which loads in your browser exactly as it would if you typed the address yourself.

Permissions and why they are needed

Permission	Why
`activeTab`, `tabs`	Detect whether the tab you are on is a supported marketplace, so the extension knows what to scan.
`scripting`	Read product details from a page that was already open before the extension was installed or updated.
`storage`	Save the products you choose to keep, on your own device.
`alarms`	Close the temporary IndiaMart tab if that page stops responding, so no stray tab is left open.
Access to amazon.in, flipkart.com, meesho.com, indiamart.com	The extension only works on these marketplaces and has no access to any other site.

Children

Profitrace is a business tool for online sellers and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address and the "Last updated" date above will change.
